Tip of the Week

Tip 5:

Energy bars pulling your teeth out?

Energy bars or Power Bars are difficult to bite and chew at the best of times but at this time of year (February) it can be impossible to take a bite out of one.

My top tip is to take the bar out of your bag 10 minutes before you need it and to put it in one of your pockets somewhere close to your body. Your body heat will warm up the bar making it much easier to bite and chew.

If it's the summer and you still can't bite that bar you need to prepare before the ride. Unwrap the bar before the ride and cut it up with a knife. Then pop all the pieces in a freezer bag, knot the top and store it in your camelbak.
