How to build a fire:

The items you need to make a fire are:

A hatchet: Hatchets can be bought in Lumbridge at the axe shop. The better the axe, the easier you will chop the tree.

A tinderbox: They can be bought at all General Stores.

Logs: Chop a tree down with your hatchet and you will have logs in your inventory.

Now drop your logs and use your tinderbox with them. If you fail the first time you can try again. As your firemaking level increases you will be able to make a fire easier.
