5th
& 6th October 2002– Afan Argoed & Cwmcarn A quick two and a half hours along the M4 brings
us to Afan and the joys of the 9-foot trail and 'The Wall' on Saturday
followed by Cwmcarn on
Sunday. Afan Argoed The 9-foot trail is a blast. Just the right
mixture of climbs and descents thrown together so that you know that
just over the brow of that hill will be a great piece of hand carved
terrain just waiting for you to test your singletrack skills. |

is the stuff of legends - Genesis, Hidden Valley and Dead Sheep Gulley

'The
Wall' is slightly disappointing. A massive boring fireroad climb leaves
us all breathless and you feel that despite some great sections, you
never quite gain back all that effort you have put in. After
an interesting night in Neath we head for Cwmcarn on
Sunday morning. |
