| 21st August - No updates for a
while as I have just returned from 3 weeks in France so you will have to sit through
my holiday snaps...
26th August Richard,
Keef and Mike – The Big 8 A surprise appearance from Mike
who hasn’t been seen since the middle of May. I need a route I know to get me
back in the swing of things and we set off on the big 8. It isn’t long before
Mike is going backwards however this is due to his rear disc brake locking on
rather than any fitness levels. After prising the cylinder back into place we
continue with Mike relying on the front brake only.
After losing our way and a bit
of roadwork we make it to the steep chalky descent at Colley Hill. At the foot,
another running repair is needed on the disc brake and Keef bleeds the brake to
let off some pressure. This does the trick and we are off again. The rest of the ride is uneventful but gives me a good workout for my first outing since the holiday. | ||||
