13th May Richard, David and Clive - Epsom Downs

I have been telling Clive my cousin about my mountain biking excursions and he tells me how he is a regular rider too. He rides a 1999 model Specialised Enduro and drives up from Worthing to join us – now that's what I call committment!

Clive huffs and puffs his way around but gets a rest when David gets one of his regular flats and we stop to change it. Clive is famous for always wearing far too many layers and within the first half mile he starts to overheat and strip off various pieces of kit.

Same route and another flat at the same spot, this time for Clive. It's just at the top of the short, sharp climb we call 'The Wall' and I'm sure it's a deliberate ploy to get himself a rest!
